Ideally your rental goes without a hitch - you receive the lens, take some extraordinarily great pictures, you return the lens. Most of the time that’s the experience our customer’s have. Unfortunately (and as careful as you may try to be) accidents can happen.
While we can’t protect you from the inevitable, we can provide for some peace of mind - the Focus Lens Rentals Damage Waiver will help you sleep better by providing for coverage when unintentional damage occurs.
The program.
Let’s say, for example, you rent the Nikon 70-200 2.8VR. While at junior’s soccer game (and in all your excitement to get the camera out of the bag)…. you drop the lens. Oops. Without the Focus Lens Rentals Damage Waiver you would be responsible not only for the full cost for the repair of the lens, but also for rentals fees while the lens is in the shop being repaired. Ouch.
With the Focus Lens Rentals Damage Waiver coverage your exposure to repair fees is capped to no more than 15% of the retail value of the lens…. and best of all…. you are not required to pay rental fees while the lens is in the shop!
I like what I hear, but please give me an example….
Let’s say when you dropped the lens at the soccer game, it bounced off the pavement and cracked an internal element. To repair the lens Focus Lens Rentals had to pay Nikon $300. It also took Nikon two weeks to repair and return the lens.
Without the damage waiver your expense would be the $300 repair plus a two week rental ($165) while the lens was at the shop, for a total of $465.
With the damage waiver your expense is capped at 15% of the retail value of the lens. In this example 15% of $1,600 or $240… and no accruing rentals fees!
Good deal you say? That’s not all!
Should you select the Damage Waiver coverage, but at the end of your rental you return the lens unharmed, we will be happy to credit you back 50% of the damage waiver fee! Talk about peace of mind!
